Goals are dreams with deadlines. Stop dreaming! I took control of my life and with the help of many wonderful people I was able to lose 135 pounds in 11 months. Set a goal, tell everyone who will listen, and stick to your plan. You can do it!!
Any suggestions? I've been on my weight-lifting-aerobics-calorie-counting plan for six weeks, and I've lost 19 pounds - that is great, and I feel so much better! The weekends are really hard for me though; the food plan is more relaxed, and I just want to rest . . . which two weekends in a row has led to completely overeating and feeling terrible and not wanting to exercise on Monday morning. Are there any tips you use to keep the weekends more consistent with the rest of the week? Thanks! Sandy
The weekends were my big exercise days just because I had more time. During the week I would do an hour a day or what I could, then on the weekend I would do long runs or long bike rides and take Monday off. The trick with the food for me was to stay busy because lounging around led to mindless eating. I would also prepare my meals in the same way I would during the week (like I was taking them to work) That way I have exactly what I needs in my lunch / snack bag. I hope this helps. Another thing I had / have problems with is the mindset that "I just burned XXX number of calories and I deserve XXXX this. To be successful I really had to change my thinking to I burned this much and if I want it to be weight loss I can't replace it with more calories. Fuel up with what you need nothing more. I am still working on this one!!
