Goals are dreams with deadlines. Stop dreaming! I took control of my life and with the help of many wonderful people I was able to lose 135 pounds in 11 months. Set a goal, tell everyone who will listen, and stick to your plan. You can do it!!
This is good!!! I think that's why I love running so much. I know exactly how far I can go and what I can do and it's fun to push the limit!
I am guilty of coming up with a goal finish time and working backwards to figure out how hard I need to train instead of the other way around! When I told people I was trying to qualify for Boston I was running about an 8:30 pace in the spring but I needed a 7:25 the whole way to qualify! It was good motivation to keep putting in the work though.
